As we know that Sirohi district in Rajasthan is backward district so whenever famine conditions came in this area, animals were the most suffered creatures that’s why we have doing lot of actions during famine. This is very interesting activity of PFA Sirohi. During famine conditions in summers, PFA Sirohi organized cattle camps for the duration of 3-4 months in most needed areas in which we provide temporary shed and feed and veterinary care for the cattle because many villagers leave their animals without any care during famine conditions. So PFA Sirohi trying to give helping hand to those animals. They are honored by district collector 3 times during last past few years for this activity.
In our region Aravali hills are on height and so much forest area is there and lots of wild animals are located in this region such as panther, leopard, neelgai. Wild cat, rabbit, deer, peacock etc. during summer days when hot climate is on peak and wild animals are facing lack of water. Then PFA Sirohi is doing some help for wild animals on this aspect. During month of April to June in the forest area PFA Sirohi identifies few watering point with help of forest department. As we mentioned above that Sirohi District region having lot of forest are and full of wild animals, so many times few wild animals accidentally entered in residential area or highways and injured due to many reasons, then PFA Sirohi trying to help those wild animals and shift them to shelter with permission of forest dept. and give them vet care, feed and water and shelter.
For achieving goal that is small helping hand towards needy or poor, homeless animals. We are organizing few awareness things. These are small groups of school children, college students and any other who have soft heart towards animal. In every street, colonies in our city we have no. of these groups and these are member of karuna club and whenever they saw any animal in trouble immediately they call to us on helpline, or some time they themselves give first aid to animal. And some time they transported the animal to our shelter. Currently we have 12 groups of karuna club. In schools, they have organizing few activities for the awareness regarding animal welfare among children. They organize competition of poster making, essay writing, slogan writing, story writing, poetry, songs on animal welfare, and rally for the awareness in city area. In training part, they conducted some session where we brought some students in our shelter and gave them training of first aid care for the animal especially for dogs and cows.
